Board of Advisors

Scott A. Howard – Independent Strategic Financial Advisor
Following a 30 year career on Wall Street, Mr. Howard, an Independent Strategic Financial Advisor, assists with Integrated’s corporate investment strategies and oversees all strategic and financial opportunities, including, but not limited to all Mergers & Acquisitions. Mr. Howard’s main role is to advise Integrated on how to achieve their financial goals and implement long and short-term financial plans.

As a strategic financial advisor and board member, Mr. Howard reviews all opportunities to expand services through the use of efficient technologies, thereby increasing profitability, diversifying the brand and safeguarding our market position. Scott’s seasoned financial experience and in-depth understanding of the market, helps Integrated through complex negotiations as well as structuring the details and terms of a potential deal.

Mr. Howard focuses on specific transactions and market sectors, and works closely with other related professionals such as PR consultants, bankers, lawyers and forensic CPA’s. As lead strategist, Mr. Howard functions as a liaison during all phases of a deal in order to obtain relevant specialist information and market intelligence.

Andy Thibault

Andy Thibault, a private investigator, journalist and author of the award-winning collection of newspaper columns, more COOL JUSTICE. Thibault has taught writing, journalism, literature, blogging and public speaking courses at schools including Western Connecticut State University, the University of Hartford and Northwestern Connecticut Community College.

He served as chairman of the Connecticut Young Writers Trust, a foundation that affirmed the work of more than 8,000 teen-age poets and writers and awarded more than $215,000 in prize money. His public service includes commissioner and hearing officer for the Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission, board member for the Litchfield Board of Education, the Oliver Wolcott Library and the former Connecticut Commission on the Arts and chairman of the Connecticut Boxing Promotion Commission.

His first collection of columns and stories, Law and Justice in Everyday Life, was published in 2002. His other books include You Thought It Was More: Adventures of the World’s Greatest Counterfeiter, Louis the Coin, with Louis Colavechio and Franz Douskey; The History of the Connecticut State Police and The 12-Minute MBA for Lawyers, with Charles Johnson.
His profiles of subjects including poets, prosecutors and defense attorneys, as well as essays on the arts, have appeared in magazines including Connecticut Magazine and Northeast Magazine. His work also has appeared on Page Six of the New York Post. He has been an editor for newspapers including The Hartford Courant, Stamford Advocate & Greenwich Time, The Norwich Bulletin, The Wilkes-Barre, PA Times Leader and The New Haven Register.

Thibault has worked as a private investigator for law firms in Connecticut, New York, California and Washington, D.C., and as a professional boxing judge.

Arthur G. Arway, PhD/CPP- Supply Chain Compliance

Doctor Arthur (Art) Arway is a highly seasoned former Lieutenant Commander with the Norwalk, CT Police Department. Mr. Arway has extensive experience as Corporate Security Director, Investigative & Risk Manager and Logistics Security Professional with extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of security involving Workplace Violence (WPV), personnel, facility and property security, security management, corporate security programs and measures, terrorism, crisis management functions and issues.

Nellie Torres, CPP – Public Safety & Emergency Management Specialist

Ms. Torres has 30 years of public safety and emergency preparedness experience. As part of a global anti-terrorist assistance program, Ms. Torres trained local police agencies in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. Her experience includes supervising security activities and investigations, directing emergency response at the scene of major incidents, assessing security and threat risks, and developing plans to respond, mitigate, and recover from manmade and natural disasters. Ms. Torres has over 14 years of experience in delivering large-scale projects including supervising one of the largest security events in the world: the opening of the General Assembly of the United Nations, and involvement in the complete reorganization of the NYPD, resulting in a newsworthy and dramatic decrease in crime.

As the Deputy Chief of Security and Safety for the United Nations, Ms. Torres managed extensive security operations, developed an Incident Command System to ensure coordinated emergency response with host country law enforcement and emergency services. Authored inter-agency emergency response plans, and responded to countless threats and real events affecting the UN complex and beyond.

From 1998-2004 Ms. Torres was a contractor with the US Department of State advising governmental and law enforcement agencies on effective security practices and corporate security strategies for American companies operating overseas.

Ms. Torres is also a (Retired) New York City Police Lieutenant who duties included Patrol Supervisor, Incident Commander, Detective Commander, Commander of Police Academy Recruit and Specialty training units, and Media Spokesperson.

Robert J. Saracena- Facility Management

Robert Saracena joined Integrated Security’s Board of Advisors in 2018 and brings 30 years of facilities operations experience to our security and safety consulting team. As the former Executive Director of Facilities Operations for a major New York City social services organization, Robert oversaw operations at 20 locations including a Pre-K program and residential facilities housing at risk adults and minors.

Previous to that, Robert held the position of Executive Director of Facilities and Construction at Mercy College, responsible for the safety and security of all five campuses in New York City and Westchester County. Additionally, Robert’s career has included the The Museum of Television and Radio as the Director of Facilities and The American Folk Art Museum, also as the Director of Facilities.

Bob Saracena brings a wealth a experience to our consulting services team drawing on his extensive knowledge and expertise in facility management and construction. In addition to the above, Mr. Saracena served as the Supervising Construction Manager for one of several major disaster response organizations after Hurricane Sandy and also volunteered on two separate occasions in Japan after the 2011 earthquake/tsunami disaster.

Jeffrey D. Zwirn, CPP- Security Technology

No security consulting team is complete without a seasoned security technology expert to assist with strategic planning. In today’s world, security and peace of mind are mission critical and knowing your technical security systems are operating efficiently and effectively could mean the difference between life and death. We are fortunate to have Jeffrey Zwirn, CPP as an active member of our advisory board.

Jeffrey D. Zwirn is an internationally recognized systems security expert responsible for numerous forensic investigations associated with life safety systems that have either failed or been compromised during the commission of a crime. In addition to his forensic investigative expertise, Mr. Zwirn is responsible for designing complex life safety systems in accordance with NFPA Standards, UL Standards and Nationally Recognized Industry Standards and Best Practices.

Jeff Zwirn is one of three members of our security & safety consulting team lending his expertise on matters not limited to the following:

Salvatore Caccavale- Hospitality Security & Safety

Salvatore “Sal” Caccavale is the face of hospitality security and safety. He provides safety and security solutions to hotels, law firms, insurance companies and brokers. This follows a rewarding career with Hilton Worldwide and as the past vice-chair and chair of the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s (AH&LA) Safety & Security Committee.

Mr. Caccavale brings his extensive knowledge and experience to the hospitality industry after 35 years of dedicated service at Hilton Worldwide. Holding positions with direct oversight of notable and distinguished world-class properties such as The Palmer House in Chicago and The Waldorf Astoria in New York City, has distinguished Sal as a seasoned industry expert. Part of Sal’s legacy was reshaping the direction of the Hilton’s security & safety initiatives, synergizing Hilton’s safety and security teams with strong management and collaborative communication programs, while fostering relations with senior leadership.

Mr. Caccavele brings the following expertise to Integrated Security:
