Established by the Federal Aviation and Transportation Security Act (ATSA) of November 19, 2001, the new law charged the TSA with, “the screening of all passengers and property, including United States mail, cargo, carry-on and checked baggage, and other articles, that will be carried aboard a passenger aircraft operated by an air carrier or foreign air carrier in air transportation or intrastate air transportation."


Freight forwarders, IACs, third party logistics providers, distribution centers, warehouses, and manufactures have all felt the impact of the new government mandated air cargo security and screening requirements associated with the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007. Since February 2009, no one in the supply chain is exempt.  The cost of screening cargo has cut deeply into company profits at a time when cargo volume is at its lowest. This added cost and logistic is making it harder to compete in the current market. Besides the cost of highly specialized equipment and supplies, there are numerous ancillary issues that must be addressed to prepare a site to become a Certified Cargo Screening Facility. Companies must also pre-qualify, hire and train a new level of employee to screen cargo and integrate them into their existing workforce; a workforce that may be affected by existing labor/collective bargaining agreements.

At Integrated we have found a way to reduce some of the administrative costs associated with building your CCSP. Our solution taps into a viable labor pool and offers cost effective alternatives to hiring and administrating a proprietary workforce. We will provide trained, qualified, and Transportation Security Administration STA approved cargo screeners and supervisors anywhere throughout the United States. If requested we can provide training, record keeping and conduct audits to ascertain whether a site is compliant with TSA rules and regulations.

  • Audits

    Maintaining records and compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) procedures is an integral part of being a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). Integrated can provide you with the self auditing tools to run your own CCSP compliance program or manage your audits for you. We provide random on-site testing to determine whether your facility is compliant with training and record keeping and we test your screening staff to ensure they are in full compliance with the latest TSA procedures.

  • Pre Screening & Hiring Screeners

    At Integrated, we conduct comprehensive background checks on all potential screeners to make sure that all employees chosen meet the hiring requirements set forth by the Department of Homeland Security and the TSA. All new screener candidates will be assigned a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment (STA) number as well as be processed through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service’s E-Verify system prior to being deployed to a site for training or to screen cargo.

  • Record Keeping

    Integrated will maintain electronic and hard copies of all pre-hiring, termination and training records as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Records will be available at all times for review or inspection by the client or the TSA inspector.

  • Training & Testing

    Integrated’s instructors provide up-to-date Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mandated training and testing to qualify screeners in the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP). Training provided includes, training on Sensitive Security Information (SSI), Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF), Physical Search classroom and Physical Search practical site (OJT) training.
