David Ventura
Director of Security Technologies
David Ventura has been working in the electronic security industry for the past 30 years. He is a graduate of the Communications and Surveillance Technology program of the Israeli Air Force Academy, and later served at the Air Force as a communications and surveillance equipment specialist.
In 1985 Mr. Ventura was hired by Centroid, Inc. a New York-based company where for the next eleven years he helped design and develop various military electronic products.
In 1996 Mr. Ventura moved from military electronics to building engineering and was hired by Cosentini Associates, a prominent New York City engineering firm, where he started as a CAD manager and mechanical systems designer. Mr. Ventura was responsible for the supervision and training of CAD personnel, and developed the CAD standards, menus and user manuals which are still in use today.
In 1998, Mr. Ventura moved to the newly developed Building Security Consulting department within the same company, where he was responsible for the design, project management, bid evaluation and construction administration for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and educational facilities, among others.
A member of ASIS International, Mr. Ventura has worked with leading architectural firms such as; Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Frank O. Gehry & Associates, Gensler, and more. His projects have included, among others, the security systems for Princeton University Science Library in Princeton, NJ, Memorial Sloane Kettering's new Research Lab building in New York, NY, the MTA's Roosevelt Avenue Station Rehabilitation in Queens NY, Salamander Inn in Middleburg, VA and St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY.
